High Performance Update

Fitness Sessions
Players are reminded of the Tennis World fitness sessions available to those in the Performance Program;
·         Performance program players – Mondays 6.30pm – 8.00pm
·         Performance 12’s players – Wednesday 6.30-7.30pm & optional Monday 6.30-8.00pm
·         Daytime program – Tuesday & Thursdays 4.30pm – 5.30pm
All sessions are proving to be very popular – players not involved already who are interested in participating in these sessions in Term 4 please contact John McCurdy on [email protected]
Good luck to all players competing in tournaments during the Holidays. All players should be regularly checking the Tennis Australia Tournaments Calendar for Upcoming Tournaments.

Upcoming Tennis World tennis tours
Following on from the successful grasscourt tour/training camp in Yarrawonga last year Tennis World is organising a tennis tour/camp to the Yarrawonga Junior Challenge (Bronze 14’s age group only) – players again will travel by train to Yarrawonga and stay in cabins on site.  Most players have already expressed their interest in this tour – if you haven’t already and are keen to join this tour please contact John McCurdy on [email protected] as soon as possible.

Tip of the month
Take note of the focus of the top players.  They are engaged at all times, during practice, matches and training to ensure the highest level of success.  To be engaged is to have full focus in the moment with all your senses involved and alert.  Develop the right mindset to improve this aspect of your game both in training and in matches.
