Head Coach Update
We have had a great start to Term 1 2018 with immense support by the community and as a result, will continue to grow our programs with a focus on delivering quality coaching in a fun environment.
In recent weeks we at Tennis World Millswood have continued to review and plan ahead with the intention of adding new program offerings in the future. Keep an eye on our website for a new concept soon to be unveiled. We are also excited to announce FREE Fitbit Cardio Tennis sessions for the remainder of term 1. Cardio sessions are very dynamic, delivered to music and a fun way to get a great workout whilst hitting tennis balls with friends. CLICK HERE to sign up.
Thank you to Tennis SA who have invested in upgrading the inside of our clubhouse and are giving consideration to resurfacing the courts.
Our holiday clinics have been well supported and we look forward to hosting the upcoming April Holiday Clinic. Tennis World continues to manage and deliver the Scotch College Tennis Programs which includes approx. 200 students, with 21 teams competing each week and additional developmental programs. The ANZ Tennis Hot Shots programs are now being offered in Blue, Red, Orange and Green with numbers growing and additional times being added throughout the term. Over the past three weeks, we have completed visits to Goodwood Primary School delivering the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program. We thank Goodwood PS Staff for their support during the delivery of the programs.
Coaching student of the term: Oliver Curry
Oliver Curry – Oli has shown this term a real commitment to improving his tennis. His passion for the sport has grown and with it his skills. Oli participated in all of our holiday clinics, has attended group training, has private lessons and enjoys challenging himself in tournaments. Always engaged in his sessions and focused on developing his skill. A pleasure to work with and to have in our tennis environment.
Term 2 Focus:
We as a coaching team will be continuing to assess our student’s strengths and weaknesses, designing lesson plans to accelerate the individual’s development and enhance their enjoyment of the game. Delivering quality sessions through individually designed specific content encouraging students to display a physical intensity and mentally engagement in their sessions.
Theme – You don’t need to be the Best, but we want to see you give your Best, developing a passion for this great sport TENNIS.
Game sense is of great benefit in learning the Game of Tennis but don’t underestimate the benefits of continuing to evolve your technical skills. Good technical skill enables to execute tactical options.
