Tennis World Venue

The Australian Open was first played in 1905 at the Warehouseman’s Cricket Ground in Melbourne. Today, the Warehouseman’s Cricket Ground is called the Albert Reserve Centre and is run by Tennis World throughout the year. The Albert Reserve Centre is also used as the official training venue during the Australian Open.
Albert Reserve Facilities:
-Tennis Courts for hire – 9 Plexi Cushion Outdoor Courts
-Licensed Clubhouse with Cafe’ and Lounge area
-Function Room & BBQ facilities – available for corporate, group and birthday functions
-Changeroom and Shower facilities
-Pro Shop and professional Restring Service

Visitors and Tennis World Members have access to tennis Court Hire, various on and off-court Programs, Social Competitions and more.
Albert Reserve is located on the corner of St Kilda Road and Hanna Street, is accessible via public transport and offers players free on-site parking if required.
