The National Tennis Centre is Australia's, and arguably the world's best purpose-built, elite tennis training facility'. - The department of Transport, Planning and local Infrastructure
The National Tennis Centre officially opened on the 12th of January 2013, in time to be used as a training facility for the 2013 Australian Open Players.
The National Tennis Centre offers:
- 8 Indoor Plexicushion Courts
- 5 Outdoor Plexicushion Courts
- 8 Italian Clay Courts
- Large Function area
- Changeroom and Shower facilities
- High Performance Gymnasium
The National Tennis Centre is home to both Tennis World and Tennis Australia’s National Academy.
During the 2014 Australian Open, the National Tennis Centre was used as a training facility for all players and hosted the Junior Australian Open Tournament Control.
