We thank you for your patience. We are glad to provide you with the details on the re-opening of Tennis World.

At the moment we are following the updates given by Tennis Victoria. We hope for an update for the new restrictions to come in to place on the 30th of October.

Tennis World Melbourne Update: 27th September

Tennis in Metro Victoria will be allowed to resume from 11:59pm on Tuesday the 28th of September. There will still be the curfew in place.

As mentioned, last week, we are still waiting on the detail which will be listed in the Restricted Activity Directions, which State Government has advised are likely to be published tomorrow night. As soon as we can update you, we will. This is likely to be Wednesday morning.

We will await further confirmation of details as to the re-open and communicate as soon as details are made available to us.

Tennis World Melbourne Update: 22nd September

Tennis Victoria have released a statement as of last night. Tennis in Victoria is still awaiting specifics on what restrictions will allow. Please read the post made by Tennis Victoria have uploaded for now. We will remain closed for the moment and hope to open soon, with updates coming as soon as we know.

Tennis World Melbourne Update: 20th September

Tennis World venues in Victoria including Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve will be following the roadmap restrictions easing, and following the directions from Tennis Victoria. Communications regarding our opening will be sent out to members and students and posted on our website here.

Tennis World Sydney Update: 21st August

Tennis World Sydney will be closed from Sunday the 22nd of August to Sunday the 26th of September due to extension of the Greater Sydney Lockdown.

Tennis World Canberra Update: 13th August

Following on from our communication from yesterday, we wish to advise that Tennis World Canberra will remain closed during this Lockdown and we plan to re-open on Friday 20th August 2021, pending further advice from ACT Government and Tennis ACT.

Tennis World Victorian Sites Update: 5th August

Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve sites will all close today from 5pm at Albert Reserve and 5:30pm at Melbourne Park in line with the next COVID lockdown, any bookings for after this time have been canceled with credits added to your Tennis World account accordingly. We hope to be back soon!

Tennis World Millswood Update 5th August:

Social leagues and UTR comps will return to Tennis World Millswood as of today. Please remember to wear a mask at all times as a spectator and at all times, except for when playing on court for players.

Tennis World Update: 27th July

Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve: Re-open 28th July. All programs and court hire will resume to full capacity with face masks to be worn at al times apart from playing on the courts. Please remember to check in with the QR code upon entry.

Millswood: Re-open 28th July will all programs and court hire returning.

Tennis World Update: 20th July

Melbourne sites: remaining closed as restrictions extend to the 27th of July.

Sydney Olympic Park: Restrictions in place to end 30th July will remain open only for outdoor court hire.

Millswood venue to close: Lockdown to begin 6pm tonight today the 20th of July until the 27th of July.

Victoria Update: 15th July

In light of the recent COVID updates Tennis World sites in Victoria including the Albert Reserve and Melbourne Park sites will close for 5 days until restrictions ease. For the moment all indoor and outdoor sports have been closed for the duration of lockdown. We will provide further updates as they come to light.

Sydney Olympic Park Update: 13th July

In light of recent tightening of COVID restrictions in NSW we are keeping up to date with the developing cautions. These cautions to our programs and use of facilities include:

    • Only 2 people per court, during court hire.
    • The facilities are only available to those living within a 10km radius.
    • We are open 9am-10pm weekdays.
  • 9am-7pm on weekends.

These restrictions will remain in place until further updates have been made. We will keep you posted as the situation develops.

Sydney Olympic Park Update: 26th June

Due to the current Public Health Orders in place from Saturday 26th June at 6.00pm, Tennis World will be making the following adjustments to our operations:

🎾Weekday trading hours have reduced to 9.00am to 9.00pm

🎾Weekend trading hours have reduced to 9.00am to 7.00pm

🎾Access to the venue is via Rod Laver Drive, Carpark A

🎾All visitors must sign in at the Pro-shop on the Ground Floor

✅Court Hire for Members & Non-Members will continue but must be booked online, prior to arriving at the venue

✅Cardio Tennis for Members will continue but must be booked online, prior to arriving at the venue

❌UTR Match Play opportunities have been cancelled

❌All Australian Ranking Tournaments have been cancelled

❌Adult Social Play and Hot Shots Play has been cancelled

❌Coaching classes, groups and privates, have been cancelled

❌Indoor courts are closed

❌Our Gym is closed

*     School Holiday Camps from Monday 5th July – to be advised

⚠️Tennis World Memberships continue, excluding Gym Only Memberships. If you wish to suspend your membership, please contact our team via email [email protected]

😷Masks must be worn when entering our Pro-shop and Administration areas.

Victoria Update: Wednesday 16th June

Dear Members, Families, and Students,

The following are the guidelines handed down by Tennis Victoria of which Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve Sites will follow.

Today Acting Premier, The Hon. James Merlino announced the easing of COVID-19 restrictions for the state of Victoria from 11:59pm Thursday 17 June.
The latest restrictions for Victoria relating to community tennis in Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria are as follows:

Metropolitan Melbourne:

  • Competitions, tournaments, and training is permitted for all ages. Limited to the minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity (players, coaches, and parent/guardian for supervision purposes).
  • Clubhouses can open subject to a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.
  • Maximum group coaching sizes of 20 outdoors, 10 indoors.
  • There are no travel restrictions within Victoria.
  • Face coverings are to be carried at all times and worn indoors except if a medical exception applies. They can be removed when participating.
  • Spectators are not allowed (excludes people necessary to facilitate the activity such as coaches, trainers, umpires, carers, parents and guardians).

This means that the indoor courts will be open as of Friday the 18th of June.

Victoria Update: Thursday 10th June

In response to the Victorian Government restrictions Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve Sites will re-open as of 9am on the 11th of June.

Restrictions are as follows:

  • Training/coaching can resume for all ages subject to the density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
  • 25km limit applies to those attending a tennis venue (unless for work purposes)
  • Venue capacity limit of 100 people
  • Maximum group sizes of 10
  • Competitions and tournaments are not permitted
  • Get in, train, get out
  • All indoor tennis centers are to remain closed.

Changeroom showers are not to be accessed through the indoors, Eastern Plaza will be accessible.

Albert Reserve Clubhouse will be open for amenities, no showers.

Program Information

  • Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve will reopen from 9am on Friday 11th June
  • All weekly programs and classes will recommence from  Friday 11th of June
  • All direct debits will recommence from Tuesday 15th June

Millswood Update: Wednesday 18th November 2020

As per today’s State Government update, the Tennis World Millswood venue will be closed until further notice.

Update: Friday 30 October 

We are pleased to now be able to offer and deliver a number of our popular programs through November and December.

From next Wednesday 4th November we are providing further member program opportunities under Pay and Play options including discounted court hire.

All memberships will continue to remain suspended for the rest of the year due to limited access opportunities across Melbourne Park in particular and current tennis return to play guidelines.

Some important points in relation current operations and resumption of activities next week:

  • Tennis World will be strictly following the recently updated Return To Play Guidelines
  • Only National Tennis Centre outdoor courts and Albert Reserve outdoor courts will be utilised under current guidelines
  • Clubhouse/Reception access for toilets and check in purposes only
  • Café will be open
  • Card payments and online bookings preferred
  • Parking is available onsite at both Albert Reserve and National Tennis Centre (tickets can be validated at NTC)
  • MCA & NTC gym and Level 3 NTC lounge areas are not available for use
