He specializes in Cardio Tennis, delivering high-intensity, fun sessions that keep players active and motivated. Known for his lively presence on court, Andrew thrives on connecting with the local tennis community and values the supportive team environment at Tennis World. His approachable style and passion for fitness-focused tennis make him a favourite among players looking to stay active while developing their skills. One of Andrew’s proudest achievements is obtaining his Level 1 coaching certificate, marking an important step in his coaching journey. Outside of tennis, he’s known for his booming voice—often heard across the entire facility, even when he’s indoors.

With 16 years of playing experience and 8 years of coaching, Ashleigh has built a solid foundation in the sport and specialises in junior coaching, helping young players develop their skills in a fun and structured environment. Known for her supportive and community-driven coaching style, Ashleigh values the strong sense of connection within Tennis World and enjoys working alongside staff who share her passion for the game. She is committed to creating a positive environment where junior players can grow both on and off the court. One of her greatest achievements is becoming a Division 2 National Champion, highlighting her competitive background and understanding of high-level performance. Above all, Ashleigh values the tennis community she is part of and the opportunity to contribute to player development every day.
Charles Josshua Kinaadman

Charles Josshua Kinaadman is a dedicated tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where he delivers high-quality coaching with a strong focus on player development. With 21 years of playing experience and 6 years of coaching, Charles brings both knowledge and passion to every session. He specializes across a wide range of programs, including Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult coaching, high performance, Cardio Tennis, and strength & conditioning, allowing him to work effectively with players of all levels. Charles holds a Junior Development Coach Level 1 qualification and is committed to maintaining a high standard in his coaching approach. Charles enjoys being part of the professional environment at Tennis World, where a strong emphasis is placed on delivering top-tier coaching. His greatest achievement to date is being ranked number 3 in the Philippines, highlighting his competitive playing background. Charles has a simple love for Vegemite toast.
Connor Byrne

Conor Byrne is an emerging tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where he brings enthusiasm and a positive attitude to every session. With 4 years of playing experience and 1 year of coaching, Conor is building a strong foundation in the sport and enjoys helping players develop their skills. He specializes in Tennis Hot Shots, creating fun and engaging sessions that introduce young players to the game. Conor is passionate about learning and growing as a coach, and values being part of the Tennis World environment as he continues to develop his coaching style. His approachable nature helps players feel comfortable on court while building confidence and enjoyment in tennis. One of his proudest achievements so far is winning the ACT Residents Cup in 2025 alongside Jack Dugdale, marking an exciting milestone in his playing journey. Outside of tennis, Conor has a unique interest in beach metal, adding a fun and distinctive edge to his personality.

Gonzalo Lopez Cervino

Gonzalo “Gona” Lopez Cervino is a highly experienced tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where he plays an important role in developing players across multiple stages of their tennis journey. With a strong foundation built from starting tennis at age 4 and competing in national tournaments in Argentina until age 16, Gonzalo brings a lifelong connection to the sport. He has been coaching for over 16 years, working across Argentina, the United States, Queensland, Tennis World Sydney, and Canberra. He specializes in Tennis Hot Shots, junior coaching, and high performance, with a focus on guiding players through key development pathways such as Super 10s, NDS, and NDP. Gonzalo holds a range of coaching qualifications, including Junior Development Course certification, Club Pro qualification, National Level 1 Coach (Argentina – AAT), PTR 10 & Under and Adult Development, and PTR Performance accreditation. Known for his purpose-driven and development-focused coaching style, Gonzalo is passionate about being part of a structured, world-class tennis pathway that supports players from their first lesson through to high-performance environments. He values contributing to a shared vision at Tennis World and thrives in a team environment with a strong sense of purpose. His greatest coaching achievement is seeing players progress into state and national development pathways while growing into confident, respectful individuals who positively represent their community. Outside of tennis, Gonzalo jokes that he has won more golf tournaments than tennis tournaments, reflecting his competitive spirit beyond the court.
Huy Pham
Tennis Coach
Huy Pham is a developing tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where he works across Tennis Hot Shots, junior, adult, high performance, and cardio tennis programs. Having played tennis regularly over the past 3 years and recently completing the Tennis Australia Trainee Coaching Course in November 2025, Huy brings a fresh perspective and strong enthusiasm for coaching. Known for his calm and encouraging approach, Huy enjoys helping players improve their skills while building confidence and enjoyment in the game. He has a particular passion for working with junior players and finds it rewarding to see their progress week by week. One of Huy’s proudest achievements in tennis so far is winning Division 3 in the Canberra Tennis League (Winter 2025), marking an important milestone in his playing journey. Outside of tennis, Huy works as an engineer, bringing a problem-solving mindset that complements his coaching style both on and off the court.

Ila “Illy” Dadhe is a passionate tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, specialising in Tennis Hot Shots and focused on creating a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment for young players. With 16 years of playing experience and 6 years of coaching, Ila brings strong on-court knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for developing the next generation of players. Known for her energetic and people-focused coaching style, Ila thrives in the collaborative team environment at Tennis World. She values being part of a supportive group of coaches who are all passionate about helping players grow, stay active, and build a connection with the game of tennis. As both a player and coach, Ila has achieved significant milestones. As a junior, she reached the Top 20 nationally in the Under 14 age group and won the 2025 O3K Indoor Tournament at Tennis World Canberra. As a coach, one of her proudest achievements has been building a strong connection with her Junior 1 group on Thursdays, transforming both her confidence and the group’s engagement over time. Outside of tennis, Ila is multilingual, speaking four languages, reflecting her diverse background and ability to connect with a wide range of people.
Jack Dugdale

Jack “Duggy” Dugdale is a developing tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where he coaches across Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult programs, high performance, and cardio tennis. With 12 years of playing experience and 1 year of coaching, Jack brings strong energy, enthusiasm, and a growing understanding of player development. Known for his positive and engaged coaching style, Jack enjoys being part of the supportive environment at Tennis World, where both coaches and the centre culture help him continue to learn and improve. He values the opportunity to contribute to a space where players and coaches alike are constantly developing. A highlight of Jack’s journey so far is making the December Showdown and having the opportunity to play on the Australian Open show courts—an experience that reflects his competitive background and passion for the game. Outside of tennis, Jack has represented the ACT in multiple sports, highlighting his strong all-round athletic ability and competitive spirit.

Jon Wharton is a highly experienced tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where he brings decades of knowledge and passion to the court. With over 30 years of coaching experience and a lifelong love of the game that began in primary school, Jon has developed a deep and well-rounded understanding of tennis. He specializes across all areas of coaching, including Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult coaching, high performance, Cardio Tennis, and strength & conditioning, allowing him to support players of all ages and abilities. Jon holds a Level 1 coaching qualification with Tennis Australia and is known for his versatile and engaging coaching style. Jon values the unique environment at Tennis World, particularly the opportunity to coach across four different court surfaces—grass, clay, hard, and indoor—which adds variety and depth to both training and player development. One of Jon’s greatest highlights in tennis has been the opportunity to share the court with many remarkable people and experience the sport at a broad level, reflecting his long-standing dedication to and love for the game.

Penelope “Penny” O’Connell is an enthusiastic tennis coach based at Canberra Tennis Centre, where she specialises in Tennis Hot Shots and focuses on introducing young players to the game in a fun and supportive environment. With 10 years of playing experience and coaching since 2023, Penny brings fresh energy and a strong passion for teaching children. Known for her warm and encouraging coaching style, Penny enjoys the opportunity to follow her passion for education and help young athletes develop confidence, coordination, and a love for tennis. She values the chance to create positive early sporting experiences that set players up for long-term enjoyment of the game. A meaningful highlight of Penny’s journey has been the opportunity to teach in a rural area, where she was able to share her passion for tennis in a community setting and make the sport more accessible to young players. Alongside coaching, she is also a musician and is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education in the creative arts, reflecting her strong connection to learning and creativity.
