Daniel “Byrnesy” Byrnes is an experienced and dedicated tennis coach based at Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve, where he brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for the game to every session. With 35 years of playing experience and 25 years of coaching, Daniel has built a long-standing career in tennis, working across all levels of the sport. He holds a Tennis Australia Level 2 Club Professional qualification and specializes in Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult coaching, high performance, and Cardio Tennis. Known for his supportive and player-focused coaching style, Daniel is passionate about helping individuals improve their game while also fostering a lifelong love of tennis. He values the strong team environment at Tennis World and enjoys working alongside staff who share the same commitment to player development and enjoyment of the sport. Daniel’s greatest coaching achievements include developing players who have gone on to win national titles, compete professionally, and play college tennis. As a player, he achieved an ATP ranking in both singles and doubles and earned All-American honours in Division 1 college tennis in the United States. Outside of tennis, Daniel enjoys spending time with his two boys, which remains his greatest joy beyond the court.

Daniel “Gucc” Guccione is a dedicated tennis coach based at Melbourne Park, where he brings energy and experience to every session. With 26 years of playing experience and 12 years of coaching behind him, Daniel has experience in all areas and specializes in high performance. Known for his well-rounded approach, he thrives in helping players of all levels improve their game. Daniel’s passion for coaching is fueled by the indoor facilities and the supportive team environment at Tennis World. A former elite junior, he proudly represented Australia in the Junior Davis Cup and competed in the Australian Open as a junior. Outside tennis, Daniel has also showcased his athletic talent by playing VFL football for Essendon and Coburg, highlighting his versatility as an athlete.
Jenna “Jen” Laubser is a dedicated Strength & Conditioning coach based at Melbourne Park, where she focuses on helping athletes build strength, resilience, and confidence both on and off the court. With 20 years of tennis experience and 4 years of coaching, Jenna brings a well-rounded understanding of athletic performance and player development. Known for her supportive and energetic approach, Jenna is passionate about creating a positive and motivating environment for every athlete she works with. She thrives on seeing progress at all levels—from beginners learning the basics to high-performing athletes becoming stronger, faster, and more confident. She values the strong community at Tennis World, where coaches and strength & conditioning staff work closely together to support each player’s development. Jenna’s greatest achievement lies in the impact she has had on her clients, having worked with over 100 individuals to help them build confidence, recover from injury, and feel strong in their bodies again. She is also proud of successfully running her own personal training business for over two years, gaining valuable experience in delivering results and building lasting client relationships. Originally from South Africa, Jenna moved to Melbourne at 16 and can speak Afrikaans, adding a unique cultural background to her coaching journey.

Joel “Compag” Compagnino is a highly experienced tennis coach based across Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve, where he brings passion and expertise to every session. With 30 years of playing experience and over 20 years of coaching, Joel has developed a deep understanding of the game and specializes in all areas, including Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult coaching, high performance, and Cardio Tennis. Joel holds a Tennis Australia Club Professional qualification, along with a Bachelor of Commerce and Sport Management, combining practical coaching knowledge with a strong academic background. Known for his engaging and professional approach, he thrives in helping players of all levels reach their potential. He values being part of the supportive and driven team at Tennis World, where coaches work collaboratively to deliver high-quality programs and continually improve the experience for their players. One of Joel’s proudest achievements is helping a student win the Blind and Low Vision Nationals in 2024, highlighting his ability to make a meaningful impact through coaching. Outside of tennis, Joel enjoys spending time at the Melbourne Cricket Ground cheering on the Collingwood Football Club.


Lawrence “Lorenzo” Naidu is an experienced tennis coach based at Melbourne Park, where he specialises in adult coaching, cardio tennis, and broader coaching support roles. Having played tennis since the age of 11 and with 13 years of coaching experience, Lawrence brings a well-rounded understanding of both performance and participation-focused tennis. Known for his approachable and people-focused coaching style, Lawrence values the strong connections he builds with both colleagues and players. He enjoys the diverse and energetic environment at Tennis World, where he has the opportunity to meet a wide range of people and contribute to their tennis journeys. As both a player and coach, Lawrence has achieved significant milestones. As a player, he competed at national level in New Zealand, and as a coach, he was awarded National Team Player of the Year in 2024 for Tennis World—recognising his dedication and impact within the organisation. Outside of tennis, Lawrence’s first job was working as a checkout operator at a supermarket in New Zealand, reflecting his grounded and community-focused background.

Madison “Madi” Sanders is an experienced tennis coach based at Melbourne Park, where she delivers engaging coaching across Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult programs, high performance, and cardio tennis. With a lifelong involvement in the sport—having played since the age of five—and 16 years of coaching experience (13 of those at Tennis World), Madison brings deep knowledge and consistency to her coaching practice. Known for her supportive and relationship-focused approach, Madison places strong emphasis on building meaningful connections with players and the wider tennis community. She finds great reward in helping athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and embrace challenges while enjoying the game. A highlight of Madison’s coaching journey is witnessing players progress through the full development pathway—from their first red ball sessions through to competing at national level and beyond. One of her more unique experiences include coaching Roger Federer’s children, reflecting the breadth of her coaching exposure.

Marcanthon “Marc” Reyes is a versatile and experienced tennis coach based at Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve, where he brings energy and expertise to every session. With 30 years of playing experience and 10 years of coaching, Marc has developed a strong all-round understanding of the game. He specializes across a wide range of programs, including Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult coaching, high performance, and Cardio Tennis. Known for his engaging and adaptable coaching style, Marc is passionate about helping players of all levels grow and succeed. He thrives in the Tennis World environment, drawing motivation from the world-class facilities as well as the strong community of members and staff he works alongside each day. Marc’s greatest achievement is building champions within the organisation and being part of the National Development Squad, highlighting his commitment to player development and high-performance pathways. Outside of tennis, he enjoys watching cartoons and has a love for dad jokes, bringing a fun and lighthearted vibe to his coaching

Peter “Greeny” Green is a dedicated Strength & Conditioning coach based at Melbourne Park, where he focuses on developing stronger, faster, and more resilient athletes. With 12 years of experience in strength and conditioning, Peter plays a key role in helping tennis players improve their physical performance to match the demands of the modern game. Known for his energetic and motivating approach, Peter thrives on working with driven players who are committed to becoming fitter, healthier, and better on court. His coaching centers around building athleticism, enhancing movement, and supporting overall player development. One of Peter’s standout career achievements was managing the player gyms during the Australian Open 2026, where he supported elite athletes with their preparation and recovery throughout the tournament. Outside of coaching, Peter has a unique international background, having lived in Hong Kong from ages 3 to 8, adding to his diverse life experience.
Richard “Yangy” Yang is an experienced and versatile tennis coach based at Melbourne Park, where he delivers engaging and high-quality sessions across a wide range of programs. With 20 years of playing experience and 6–7 years of coaching, Richard brings a strong understanding of the game and specializes in Tennis Hot Shots, junior and adult coaching, high performance, and cardio tennis. Known for his approachable and positive coaching style, Richard enjoys building strong connections with both players and colleagues. He thrives in the Tennis World environment, valuing the supportive staff culture and the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of clients. As a player, Richard achieved significant success at a national and international level, winning 12 out of 14 national events and reaching the top 100 in ITF juniors. His competitive background adds valuable insight to his coaching, particularly for players looking to elevate their performance. Outside of tennis, Richard enjoys unwinding with gaming, particularly playing League of Legends.
