Tennis Hot Shots Match Play
MATCH PLAY IS A FUN AND SOCIAL WAY FOR KIDS TO GET INTO TEAM TENNIS, LEARN THE BASICS OF GAME PLAY AND EXPERIENCE WHAT IT’S LIKE TO PLAY A MATCH.
If your child has already undertaken at least two terms of Tennis Hot Shots Coaching, Tennis Hot Shots Match Play is a whole new level of fun. Match Play teams are made up of both boys and girls with two or more players per team. Match Play seasons are aligned with the school term and run for six to eight weeks.
Tennis Victoria Pennant
COMPETITION DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLAY IN A POSITIVE, INTER-CLUB RIVALRY ENVIRONMENT
Tennis World is part of the 136th Tennis Victoria Pennant – Australia’s largest inter-club competition. Last season, 130 clubs, 420 teams and over 3,700 players competed. Join the fun today!
Tennis Victoria Pennant is played over a 14 week season. Throughout, teams build up points with a goal of gaining as many points as possible. Each team member will be play one, 3 set match per week. Win the match, get the points. Watch your teams members catch a break, break back or be broken, cheering them on all the way.
With finals at the end of every season, the Tennis Victoria Pennant is the perfect Saturday afternoon activity for you and your mates. There are two competitions, Mens and Ladies. Remember, to join the Tennis World team, you must be a member.
Bayside Competitions
GET YOUR FRIENDS TOGETHER AND ENJOY THIS SOCIAL, FIXTURE BASED TENNIS COMPETITION AROUND THE BAYSIDE AREA.
Bayside Regional Tennis Association (BRTA) run social, fixture based competitions every weekend, suitable for tennis players of many levels. Put a team together and join in on this competition. The two competitions run across 14 weeks with two weeks of finals at the end.
Bayside Junior
The Junior Bayside competition is ideal for advanced Green Ball, Junior Development Squad and High-Performance Academy players.
Run every Sunday morning, across two seasons: February to June and July to December. the Bayside Junior every Sunday morning over a 14 week season, with the last 2 weeks of competition being finals.
All that’s left for you to do it put a team together. Here is what you need to know:
- Day: Sunday Mornings
- Time: 8:45am to 12pm
- Your team: Put together a team of at least four
- Format: All players will play two 8 game sets (one singles, one doubles)
- Cost: Included in your Tennis World membership (or $160 for the season for casuals)
The summer season is currently in progress but check back here, leading up to June for the next season.
MELBOURNE BAYSIDE SENIOR PENNANT
The senior competition runs during the summer months between October and March. Bayside Senior is run over 14 weeks with two weeks of finals at the end of the season. Remember, during the New Year and Australian Open, the season is paused.
Team Options: Men’s Singles/Doubles, Women’s Singles/Doubles
Here is what you need to know:
- Day: Saturday
- Time: 1:00pm to 4:30pm
- Your team: Put together a team of at least five
- Cost: Included in your Tennis World membership
FORMAT:
4 players a side
4 singles – 8 game sets
2 doubles rubbers
