Welcome back to Tennis World! Let’s get hitting.

With the arrival of Term 4, the temperatures are rising, and so is our excitement for all things tennis! In this edition of the Tennis World Sydney newsletter, we announce UTR Challenge dates, unveil the latest updates on gym access, Member UTR changes, registration for our junior leagues and much more!

UTR Tournament play is back for Term 4, and we have an exciting new format in store for you! We’ve listened to the valuable feedback from parents and players, and we understand that variety in gameplay and facing different competitors are top priorities. That’s why we’ve introduced the new UTR Challenge format, which incorporates all of these elements. Here’s how it works: Players will be grouped into level-based pools, with one pool per court in each timeslot. Each pool will consist of four players, and players will remain on the same court for the entire timeslot. The format will be a single set, first to six games, with a tiebreak at 5-all with short deuce. Throughout the session, players will have the opportunity to play three sets (with three different opponents) within a four-hour window. The results from these matches will contribute towards their UTR rating. This revamped format allows for more tennis action, a wider range of opponents, and, of course, a chance to compete and showcase your skills. Below, you’ll find a list of the Term 4 UTR Challenge events along with the corresponding dates and links to each event: Visit our website for the latest schedules and links to registration.
